The FIDE World Rapid & Blitz Championships 2025 will be held in Doha, Qatar, from 25 to 30 December 2025, bringing together the world’s top chess talents for a thrilling end-of-year showdown. This edition will take place at the Sports and Events Complex at Qatar University, featuring Men’s and Women’s categories in both Rapid and Blitz formats, with a total prize pool of €1,000,000. Doha returns as host city after nine years, reaffirming Qatar’s growing role in the global chess scene.
