The FIDE World Rapid & Blitz Chess Championships return to Doha from December 25 to 31, bringing together the world’s top players for one of the most prestigious and anticipated chess events of the year.

The Qatar Chess Association announced the launch of the first edition of the Qatar Team Rapid Chess Championship 2025.

The Qatar Men’s Chess Cup was held at the Chess Training Center, featuring outstanding participation from Qatar’s top male and female players.

The Qatar Women’s Chess Cup took place at the Chess Training Center, with remarkable participation from leading Qatari players.

The Qatar Rail Chess Open Championship was held in celebration of International Chess Day at the Al Bidda Metro Station, under the ongoing partnership between the Qatar Chess Association and Qatar Rail to promote chess culture and community engagement.

The Hyatt Plaza Rapid Chess – Under 16 Tournament, organized by the Qatar Chess Association at the Chess Training Center, saw strong participation from talented players across Qatar and abroad.

The Hyatt Plaza Open Tournament (9 Rounds Blitz), organized by the Qatar Chess Association at the Chess Training Center, featured strong local and international participation.

The Qatar Sports for All Rapid Chess Championship was organized by the Qatar Chess Association in collaboration with the Qatar Sports for All Federation, featuring over 100 players from 17 countries.

The Katara Chess Championship was organized by the Qatar Chess Association in collaboration with the Katara Cultural Village Foundation.

The Blitz Tournament – Doha Youth Center, organized by the Qatar Chess Association, took place in a highly competitive and enthusiastic atmosphere with players from various nationalities.

The Qatar Masters Open Championship was held in Doha.
