A Major Success for the 2025 Doha Youth Center Blitz Chess Championship

The Doha Youth Center Blitz Chess Championship concluded on Tuesday, 4 March 2025, organized by the Qatar Chess Association in an exciting, competitive atmosphere, with players from various nationalities participating.
The championship was held using the 7-round Blitz format and featured intense competition between Qatari and international players in a professionally organized setting.
CM Hamad Al-Kuwari was crowned champion after scoring 6 points, while Khaled Al-Jamaat secured second place with 5.5 points.
CM Mohammad Ferdous Irfan finished in third place with 5 points, and Mahmoud Abdo came fourth after tie-breaks were applied on the same score.
Qatari player WCM Aisha Al-Khulaifi also delivered an impressive performance, earning 4 points, reflecting the notable progress of Qatari female players in local competitions.
The Qatar Chess Association emphasized that this championship is part of a broader plan to strengthen Qatari players’ skills and enhance their competitive readiness for upcoming local and international events.
The Association also praised the high level of organization and the commitment of all participants to the game’s rules and technical standards.
